Curly hair is gorgeous and beautiful, it truly is a blessing. Curly hair can also be a curse. Curly hair is hard to tame, manage and even more difficult to master. A lot of products aren’t curly hair friend and the frizz, DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON TAMING THE FRIZZ!
There is one curly hair myth that I want to tackle head on. Dry Shampoo.
The Curly Girl Method also called co-washing or no-poo routine has been a life saver and I only wish that I had found it years ago. Dry shampoo is actually pretty amazing for taking care of curly hair, since it is actually better for curly hair to be washed less than normal. So, here are few tips for the curly hair girls looking to use dry shampoo and make your life a little easier!
How to Dry Shampoo Curls!
1) Always, always, always shake your Pair'd Beauty Non-aerosol Dry Shampoo well before beginning application.
3) WAIT! Yes, wait. Give your dry shampoo at least 1 minute to work. If you can wait, we suggest 5 -10 minutes to allow it to really work and absorb oil and dirt.
5) Turn your head upside down, ever so gently, and use your fingers to rub your scalp from the base of the neck up to the crown. Only move up and down, do not move side to side. This will reduce frizz and make sure your curls stay beautiful.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have removed all dry shampoo out. Then style as usual!
There you have it, curly hair girls! You can use dry shampoo too!
Give Pair'd Beauty Dry Shampoo a chance to join your beauty routine! You'll love it!
***Dry Shampoo 1 -2 days max between washing***
You can use too much dry shampoo, and as a curly hair girl that could do a lot of damage. You want to use dry shampoo 1 to 2 days between washing because the buildup of dry shampoo can clump on the scalp, or cause hair to stick together resulting in it being pulled out or dried out during styling. Excess dry shampoo can also clog hair follicles resulting in hair loss, improper oil secretion and scalp irritation. Rest assure that dry shampoo is completely safe and great for your hair, but it should not be used every single day.
